Lot-et-Garonne. Elmer Food Beat and Billy Ze Kick: La Fauillesta welcomes 90s stars

Lot-et-Garonne. Elmer Food Beat and Billy Ze Kick: La Fauillesta welcomes 90s stars

For its seventh edition, the rural festival, mixing music and street arts, offers an enticing line-up from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 August

7,000 people, including 2,500 on Saturday evening alone: 2024 was an excellent year for La Fauillesta . Based on the program and the experience gained, 2025 could also go down in history. "After seven years of existence, we are able to attract big names because we are now able to meet their technical and reception requirements, with a space entirely dedicated to them," explains Émeric Nau, president of the Culture sur Garonne association, in charge of musical programming, logistics, and assembly. The catering is the responsibility of the festival committee.

“Word of mouth works well”

Inspired by the example of Luxey, a small rural festival that has grown to become a big one, the programmer aspires to offer Fauillet an event of the same ilk: "Even if we still suffer from a lack of institutional and media recognition, word of mouth works well. The volunteers, around 130, are loyal and new ones are arriving. And then, introducing culture in a rural environment is always a pleasure."

Nearly a hundred volunteers are on hand throughout this festive weekend.

From Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 24th, no fewer than fifteen artists (musicians, clowns, acrobats, and dancers) will perform on stage or in the village streets. "Friday is the most booked at the moment, with the presence of two 90s stars: Elmer Food Beat and Billy Ze Kick," adds Émeric Nau. On Saturday, the atmosphere will oscillate between reggae, Celtic rock, and electro. "As for Sunday, we have created a free time from 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. which will allow you to see an aerial circus show, clowns, and reggae. Before the paid return at 3:00 p.m., to attend more concerts, street performances, fireworks, and laser mapping," concludes the president.

Program details are available on the Fauillesta festival's Instagram and Facebook pages. Prices: from 6 to 22 euros.
