Yellow September: marches to break the silence surrounding suicide

Every day, suicide claims silent victims. And while suicide prevention is relevant all year round, it is in September that we see the greatest number of prevention actions aimed at the general public. Yellow September is an initiative born from the desire to combat suicide through information, awareness, and support. This year, on the occasion of International Suicide Prevention Day, the Nancy Psychotherapeutic Center (CPN) and the Grand Est Suicide Prevention Resource Center (CRPS) are organizing awareness-raising events in the region. In Nancy, for example, and for the second edition , meet on Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Pépinière auditorium, for a walk accessible to all of just under three kilometers. The event will be punctuated by moments of entertainment at the stands. Similarly, in Épinal, and this time for the first time, a yellow march will be organized on September 14th starting at 10 a.m. Meet at the castle park for a two-kilometer walk enlivened by activities. These two citizen marches aim to raise awareness of psychological suffering and to publicize 31 14, the national suicide prevention number.
