Royaumeix. Day care, a space to stimulate and support

The Toulois Nord Familial Association (ATNF), a non-profit medical-social organization, operates in 35 surrounding municipalities. It offers various personal services, including a nursing center, a home nursing service, a 59-bed permanent shelter, three temporary accommodation spaces, a day center, and a memory bistro.
The day center offers a safe and caring environment to patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases that weaken the elderly.
Day care helps people over 60 years old with memory problems stay at home.
"Located on the ground floor of the Reception Center, it can accommodate up to 8 people per day over 4 days, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.," explains Brigitte, medical-psychological assistant, service representative.
The day center has an activity room equipped with a kitchen, a dining room, a rest room and outdoor access to the vegetable garden and the sensory garden.
The proposed activities aim to stimulate cognitive, social, motor and sensory abilities, through memory workshops, singing, gardening or balance exercises.
Amélie, psychologist and coordinator, emphasizes that these days encourage interaction, autonomy and help delay the progression of the disease, while offering moments of respite to caregivers.
During school holidays, the day center welcomes the children of staff to promote intergenerational links.
▶ The daily rate is €35, including transport and meals, with the possibility of coverage under the personalized autonomy allowance (APA). Information: 03 83 62 91 50
