Meuse. At the Verdun covered market, artisans and delicacies are just some of the local treasures.

Every Friday, the Verdun covered market opens its doors to foodies and gourmets. Local greengrocers, fruit growers, market gardeners, and livestock farmers occupy numerous stalls.
For the past few weeks, they've been sharing them with other stakeholders on an occasional basis. First, there were two flower markets that brought color and rhythm to the remarkable building, enhanced by a few musical notes. Then, this summer, on August 2, some sixty artisans will take their place until 10 p.m. to further enliven the place.
A face painting workshop and water balloon fight will also delight the youngest visitors. Not to mention giant wooden games, temporary tattoo workshops, homemade jam making, and more. Of course, you'll also be able to grab a bite to eat before strolling along the quayside to enjoy the live music and terraces.
