After playing a chef in the series The Bear , Jeremy Allen White changes register and this time lends his features to a rock legend. The 34-year-old American actor becomes Bruce Springsteen in his biopic entitled Deliver Me from Nowhere, whose trailer was just unveiled on Wednesday, June 18. And the first images already seem to have won the hearts of the Boss 's fans.

The trailer opens with Jeremy Allen White as the rocker, as he buys his very first car. He's shocked; he's not used to making such purchases. But it's a luxury item "that you have to have when you're a rock star," the dealer tells him. We then see the singer in the studio, strumming the strings of his guitar and playing a little harmonica. Deliver Me From Nowhere focuses on a very specific period in the singer's life: the creation of Nebraska, a very personal album, recorded by the singer in 1982, alone in his New Jersey bedroom. After the success of The River and the tour that followed, he felt the need to isolate himself, far from photographers and the pressures of his job. This sixth album from the Boss is inspired by the social and political chronicles of the time. It depicts, for example, the bloody trek of Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate, two American murderers who committed around ten crimes in the 1950s, or the human relationship between two brothers, one a thug and the other a police officer.

This biopic, expected in theaters on October 22, is adapted from the eponymous book by Warren Zanes, released in May 2023. Scott Cooper was commissioned to write the screenplay and direct. " I was very moved to work on this film because I was able to discover the true personality of an artist I have admired for a very long time and to be so close to his vulnerability," reveals the director in a press release. Jeremy Allen White will notably play alongside Jeremy Strong. After playing the diabolical lawyer Roy Cohn in the Donald Trump biopic, The Apprentice , the American actor will play Springsteen's manager, Jon Landau. Paul Walter Hauser will play a guitar maker, Stephen Graham, the rocker's father and Odessa Young, the Boss's muse.

Will Jeremy Allen White manage to land an Oscar nomination like Timothée Chalamet did when he transformed into Bob Dylan? The answer will be in March 2026...
