In Cannes, come and discover a photo exhibition created by the municipal agents themselves, on the Allées de la Liberté until the end of July.

A surfer, board under his arm, despite a calm sea but with the reflections of a sunset; Le Suquet, lit by a spring sun; a skateboarder, on the bowl at the end of the Croisette, in full control; or the silhouettes of two lovers backlit facing the big blue.

These are just a few examples of photos taken by municipal officials from the City of Cannes, the Cannes Pays de Lérins urban area, and the CCAS. These snapshots are currently being highlighted on the Allées, along Cours Felix-Faure, for the "Public Creations" exhibition, which is scheduled to run until July 27.

The idea is simple: ask municipal and inter-community officials to reveal their vision of the city, their view of the Cannes microcosm and its heritage.

“Great photographers among us!”

Benoît Agassant, from the environmental department, didn't hesitate: "We didn't really know what to expect. We were asked for images that represented our view of the town. They managed to create a connection between the photos; it wasn't disjointed. Everyone put their own spin on it, their own department. And then we played along. For my part, I went and looked for photos of Cannes taken out of context on my phone. So it's really my view of the town. It's a very sincere exhibition."

Cynthia Colin, from urban planning, chose a panorama of Le Suquet, "the birthplace of Cannes. I participated for fun. I was born here, I live and work here. Why not share my point of view? I like the slightly old-fashioned feel of this emblematic district of Cannes."

For her colleague from the youth service, Mélanie Pradayrol, it was the Film Festival that had to be immortalized. That's also what her city is all about. The glitter, the cinema, the red carpet. So many symbols that couldn't be excluded from the exhibition, according to her: "The idea is great. Exhibiting our photos on the Allées for so long is a great opportunity. I chose the Festival because Cannes is the city of cinema. And it's great to discover photos from friends, especially those for whom, we're discovering, it's a real passion. There are some great photographers among us!" In total, thirty-five photos were taken by seventeen agents.
