The seventh edition of the Looping au Cockpit festival features exhibitions of drawings by artists and schoolchildren, including original drawings from the third volume of "Ratiche." Several performances are available until June 27.

Organized by the Ouïe-Dire company, the Looping festival is part of the Cultures Proches program, a residency for experimental and multidisciplinary artists in priority neighborhoods of the city. After the first highlight last Friday with the opening of the festival, it continues this Tuesday, June 24. Schoolchildren from the Eugène-Le-Roy school, located nearby, will exhibit the drawings they created with the artists during the school year. This work can be discovered in the Zig Zag gallery.

Social actions with residents

At the same time, these same students sowed flower and vegetable seeds in rather unusual objects. "We're experimenting with a nomadic garden while waiting for the redevelopment of a shared garden as part of the neighborhood's development," explains Joël Thépault. Indeed, these plants can be discovered in shoes, suitcases, and even furniture provided by Emmaüs 24. Open to all, everyone will be able to discover the creations, all in a friendly atmosphere. "Doing social actions with people in the neighborhood makes sense," emphasizes Joël. Indeed, most of the actions carried out are done in collaboration with the neighborhood's residents.

There are also poetic texts, typed by Marion Renauld, and an exhibition of original plates from the third issue of the book "Ratiche," a comic strip created by authors specializing in drawing.

To close this seventh edition, two illustrators who have just obtained their master's degree in illustration will exhibit, Friday from 6:30 p.m., their works on neighborhood dogs and the story of their master for one while the other will propose imaginary drawings from plant bundles. As a grand finale, a show "Ah que la terre est basse" will be performed, where the poetry of Marion Renauld is accompanied by music by Marc Pichelin around a performance by Joël Thépault on the garden.

The exhibition is on display until June 27th at 21 rue Albert-Camus in Coulounieix-Chamiers at the cockpit. The third issue of Ratiche is also on sale there for 10 euros.
