Amid applause, a black coffin was laid for the man in black, the nickname of the star producer and host of Saturday nights. For this final farewell , the crowd gathered in front of the Saint-Roch church in Paris. Guests came from all walks of life, from politicians like Brigitte Macron and Gabriel Attal, to media figures like Léa Salamé, Hugo Clément, and Guillaume Durand. A media connoisseur, Thierry Ardisson had meticulously prepared his funeral, right down to the announcement, which was not without humor, with a dress code: black.

For this final farewell, the public was there. "Every Saturday night, I rushed home from work to watch his shows. I was a provincial who arrived in Paris and I thought he was brilliant," explains one woman. "For me, it's a whole era, especially. It's my youth. He was someone daring who changed, revolutionized television," says another.

The entire show business world was jostling for his sets. Today, he salutes this provocative, pioneering and endearing TV personality. "It's terrible, but he'll always be there anyway," confides, moved, Philippe Corti, friend of Thierry Ardisson. "Thierry was someone very generous, very sentimental, contrary to what his public image often suggested," emphasizes journalist and producer Yves Bigot.

A music enthusiast, Thierry Ardisson even selected his own funeral playlist, featuring songs by Jean-Louis Aubert, David Bowie, and the Beatles, his favorite band. After a very moving ceremony, there was once again applause. Thierry Ardisson will be buried in the strictest privacy, surrounded by his loved ones.
