Having joined the Comédie-Française in 2006 to play Cléante in Tartuffe, actor and director Pierre Louis-Calixte died on Tuesday, August 12, at the age of 57, following a long illness. In a delicately intense one-man show in 2022, he sketched a personal portrait of Molière, interweaving his own childhood and acting memories. La Croix met him at the time.
