Come attend this conference on the cosmos through art in Six-Fours

Late this afternoon, the Daudet Theater will host a conference dedicated to the search for life in the universe. But this cosmic exploration will have a rare twist: the journey from planet to star will be carried out through the canvases.
These works, blending art and science, are all by artist Marie-Jo Parron. Every morning, she explores the web with the same fervor that others scan the skies, on the lookout for the latest scientific discoveries. When a new breakthrough catches her eye, she contacts the astrophysicists concerned, asking for permission to "stage" their findings on her canvases.
She says: "I've always been fascinated by the starry sky. As a child, I lived in the Alps, where the night remains pure, without light pollution. Every evening, I marveled at the immensity of the sky. Then, in the 2000s, something rekindled in me at an astrology convention. I looked up at the sky... and it was astronomy that captivated me."
Popular scienceFrom there, everything fell into place. Nebulae became her first muses, followed by the solar system, until she delved into the deeper mysteries of the universe: particle physics, the Big Bang, and the accelerators researchers are working on to unlock the secrets of our origins. A scientific quest that she translates, canvas after canvas, through the prism of her artist's sensitivity.
For Georges Klimoff, an expert in space exploration and speaker at the conference , "this work allows us to map discoveries in the universe, but it also plays an essential role in popularizing science. Through her exhibitions, Marie-Jo Parron arouses curiosity and makes us want to know more." Join the two friends for a journey that will take you to the stars Tau-Ceti, VHS 1256-1257, HR-8799, CI-Tau, RW-Auriga, Bételegeuse and GW Orioinis: a unique journey!
