Australia: 'A horrific attack', two boys aged 12 and 15 killed with machetes by a masked gang

The two victims were killed in locations close to each other on Saturday evening, police said, adding that the gang had about eight members. Police initially discovered a 12-year-old boy with serious injuries. "Despite paramedics' attempts to resuscitate him, he could not be saved," Graham Banks said.
Shortly after, police found a 15-year-old friend of the boy on a nearby street with "significant" stab wounds. He, too, could not be revived. According to witnesses and CCTV footage, the murders were committed by the same group of about eight masked people armed with machetes and long-bladed knives, Graham Banks said. "The children who were murdered were not gang members, and we cannot remain silent," he said.
