Anna Mouglalis: “There, I am alive, I am in my voice, I am there”

Anna Mouglalis: “There, I am alive, I am in my voice, I am there”

"One day, I couldn't anymore." Standing tall on stage, Anna Mouglalis plants Ovidie's words one by one in the faces of the spectators who have come to hear La Chair est triste alas at the Théâtre de l'Atelier in Paris. She speaks of the rejection of a "whole life subjected to the libido of men" : "I had already surprised myself sucking without thinking about anything." " She is all in, without censorship, without restriction, without fear of what people will think of her," says documentary filmmaker Ovidie, who here stages her own text published in bookstores two years ago. Anna Mouglalis often marches in feminist processions. With the album Ô Guérillères , she also sings, within the group Draga, a montage of texts by Monique Wittig, theorist of feminism and lesbianism
