One of the most prestigious lists of the best beaches in the world is The World's 50 Best Beaches. The 2025 ranking is the result of an evaluation conducted by a diverse group of judges and beach ambassadors who have explored numerous coastal destinations around the world.
The idea for this list arose from the need to discover and highlight truly exceptional beaches. The World's 50 Best Beaches team embarked on a mission to create a comprehensive and inspiring ranking, based on their own experiences, diverse perspectives, and the collective expertise of numerous tourism industry professionals.
By 2025, some of the beaches that most surprise visitors worldwide are: Cala Goloritzé (Italy), Entalula (Philippines), Bang Bao Beach (Thailand), Fteri (Greece) and PK 9 (French Polynesia).

Regarding Cala Goloritzé, the specialized portal highlights that the natural beauty of this destination captivates visitors from the very first moment.
“Whether from the viewing platform or with your feet in the water, the scenery is truly breathtaking. While the entire Baunei coastline is spectacular, Cala Goloritzé stands out, in part, for its imposing 143-meter limestone pinnacle , reminiscent of a cathedral. The water is incredibly clear and perfect for swimming, but what truly sets this beach apart are the significant conservation efforts protecting it. Declared a natural monument in the 1990s, Cala Goloritzé is exceptionally well preserved,” notes The World's 50 Best Beaches ranking.
Furthermore, it is mentioned that there is a limited number of hikers allowed to access this Italian paradise each day, which contributes to preserving its pristine state. This beach represents a combination of unspoiled nature, cliffs, and turquoise waters, making it one of the most unique coastal destinations in the world.
In the Caribbean and Latin America region, destinations in Brazil, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama stand out, including: Balandra Beach (Mexico), Pontal do Atalaia (Brazil), Cayo de Agua (Venezuela), Cayo Zapatilla (Panama), Baía do Sancho (Brazil), and Bahía de las Águilas or Canto de la Playa, both in the Dominican Republic.

In the United States, the only beach that appears on the list of the best in the world is Siesta Beach, recognized multiple times not only by this ranking, but also by specialized media such as Time Out and TripAdvisor , thanks to its white sand, calm waters, and rich marine biodiversity.
And Colombia? Although Colombia isn't included in The World's 50 Best Beaches list, the country has been recognized in other international rankings. For example, Tripadvisor singled out Spratt Bight Beach, located in San Andrés, as one of the best in the country.
This destination received the Travelers' Choice Award: Best of the Best, a recognition given to travelers' favorite spots worldwide , based on their experiences and ratings. Its white sand, crystal-clear waters, and Caribbean atmosphere make this beach a must-see for visitors to the archipelago.
