Belén Casanova, Head of Supply at GuruWalk, explains that travelers currently value these types of experiences that highlight a place's culture and traditions.
"Spain and Italy combine these characteristics with a diverse and high-quality offering, making them perfect destinations for this peak season, whether winter or summer, depending on the country of origin," he adds.

The most booked cities for this season are:
- Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia and Malaga in Spain.
- Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples and Milan in Italy.
In the specific case of Colombia, Italy takes first place with 17 percent of reservations registered by Colombians, Spain with 15 percent, and Portugal with 5 percent. But this is not the case in all Latin American countries. In fact, in Mexico, the United Kingdom holds third place with 6.5 percent of reservations registered there, while in Peru, the Netherlands (8.5 percent) and Germany (8.5 percent) hold second place.
According to Casanova, Mediterranean destinations are striking for their architectural and historical offerings. Furthermore, many Latin American travelers find in these cities a blend of shared cultural roots and hospitality. "That closeness, combined with enriching experiences, is what's driving this trend," he asserts.
