Tens of thousands of heart attacks and strokes could be prevented with this recipe

Tens of thousands of people suffer unnecessary heart attacks and strokes each year because they don't take cholesterol-lowering medications, according to a recent study.
More than 39,000 deaths, nearly 100,000 non-fatal heart attacks, and up to 65,000 strokes in the U.S. could be prevented if people eligible for statins and other cholesterol-lowering drugs took them, researchers reported in the June 30 issue of the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
