Radiohead is returning to the stage with a highly anticipated European tour that includes four shows in Madrid. With performances scheduled in five cities, this will be their first tour after a seven-year hiatus. The announcement came via Philip Selway , the British band's drummer, who revealed on social media that it all started spontaneously.
“Last year we got together to rehearse, just for the fun of it,” he explained. That reunion led to an emotional reconnection with their music, in his words: “It felt great to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become deeply rooted in the five of us.” As a result of that impulse, the band led by Thom Yorke has announced a 20-date European tour, which will stop in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin . The Spanish capital will open the tour with four confirmed concerts at the Movistar Arena : on November 4, 5, 7, and 8, 2025 .
It will be Radiohead's first performance in the Iberian Peninsula since their performance at Primavera Sound in 2016, where they presented their latest studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool . In the following years, Yorke focused on his solo career and the band The Smile, while Ed O'Brien and Philip Selway also explored individual projects.
When and how to buy ticketsTicket sales will open on September 12th , but will be subject to a pre-registration process intended to ensure fairness and prevent abuse by bots or scalpers. To enter, pre-registration at radiohead.com is required. Registration will open on Friday, September 5th at 11:00am and will remain open until Sunday, September 7th at 11:00pm .
According to the band, each person will be able to purchase a maximum of four tickets for a single date , with the goal of ensuring that as many fans as possible can attend. Furthermore, priority will be given to those living closest to the venue. Ticket distribution will be geographically and evenly distributed: a percentage will be reserved for local audiences, another for those traveling from other European cities, and a third for attendees from outside the continent.
On the same website, the group has set up a countdown showing the time remaining until registration. Tickets will only be available to those who have completed this process.
The Oxford band's return comes with a new release. Last August, they digitally released Hail to the Thief – Live Recordings 2003-2009 , a compilation of live performances focused on their sixth album, the physical release of which will be released on October 31, 2025. This tour marks the end of a seven-year hiatus for Radiohead, whose last concert took place in 2018. Although they have only confirmed these 20 dates so far, the band hasn't ruled out extending the tour if the experience is as satisfactory as their reunion in the studio.
