Radiohead confirms four concerts at the Movistar Arena in November

Radiohead confirms four concerts at the Movistar Arena in November

After seven years away from the stage, Radiohead have announced a 20-date tour that will take place in five European cities. The British group will perform in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin. In Spain, we'll have the opportunity to see them on November 4, 5, 7, and 8 at the Movistar Arena in the capital.

In a message to fans today, Radiohead's Philip Selway said: "Last year we got together to rehearse, just for the fun of it. After a seven-year hiatus, it felt great to get back to playing the songs again and reconnecting with a musical identity that's become deeply ingrained in the five of us. It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you'll come along to some of the upcoming dates. For now, it's just these, but who knows where this will all take us?"

To ensure tickets reach fans directly and minimize ticket resale and botting, tickets can only be accessed by registering at radiohead.com. Registration opens this Friday, September 5th at 11:00 AM and closes 72 hours later, on Sunday, September 7th at 11:00 PM. Ticket sales begin on September 12th .

The European dates are the band's first live shows since 2018 , when they wrapped touring for their ninth album, 2016's A Moon Shaped Pool. Each member has subsequently pursued their own solo careers. Lead guitarist Thom Yorke and lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood formed Smile with jazz drummer Tom Skinner, and have released three albums to date. Yorke and Greenwood recently collaborated on an art exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.

Die-hard fans of the band had guessed the news was coming after the group updated their Bandcamp logo and made their website display an intentional 404 error message, and noticed their longtime visual artist, Stanley Donwood, sharing the rocket-shaped image from the flyers on his Instagram.

The tour could be boycotted because the band's frontman, Thom Yorke, recently decided to perform in Tel Aviv despite protests from some fans in support of Palestine. In May, Yorke issued a statement on the war in Gaza, stating that Netanyahu and his administration "must be stopped" and that Hamas "chooses to hide behind the suffering of its people."

Last August, Radiohead digitally released the live album 'Hail to the Thief – Live Recordings 2003-2009' . The songs were originally compiled as research material for arrangements for Thom Yorke's stage production of 'Hamlet Hail to the Thief'. The physical version of the album will be released on Friday, October 31, 2025.

The album features performances in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin between 2003 and 2009, and was mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton. The vinyl will be a limited edition and, in addition to the black pressing, will be available in red at independent retailers, and in cyan exclusively at Radiohead's WASTE store.

Speaking about the new live album, Thom Yorke says: "In the process of thinking about how to construct arrangements for the Shakespeare stage production of Hamlet/Hail To The Thief, I asked to hear some archive live recordings of the songs. I was amazed at the kind of energy behind the way we played. I barely recognized each other and it helped me find a way forward. We decided to mix and release these live recordings (it would have been crazy to keep them). It's all been a very cathartic process. We hope you enjoy them."

Thom Yorke recently co-created the critically acclaimed Hamlet Hail to the Thief, a frenetic adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, featuring a deconstructed score of reworked songs from 2003’s Hail to the Thief. Rolling Stone UK said of the new production: “The greatest testament to Yorke and his co-writers is that these worlds collide so perfectly, they seem to have been destined to be together all along.”
