Passenger no longer responsive: Pilot in Leipzig aborts takeoff

A passenger is unresponsive at Leipzig/Halle Airport. Officials remove the drunken passenger from the plane.
Federal police denied two drunken passengers a vacation departure from Leipzig/Halle Airport. On Thursday morning, a 27-year-old man was so drunk shortly before takeoff to Mallorca that he was unresponsive, according to federal police. The pilot aborted takeoff, and officers removed the man from the plane . A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.7 per mille.
A short time later, a 45-year-old man attracted attention at the gate due to his unusual behavior. The pilot had also decided to exclude him from the flight. Federal police officers found the man had a breath alcohol level of more than 3 per mille. They subsequently escorted him out of the security area.
In this context, the Federal Police emphasized that everyone should look forward to their vacation and get in the mood with a sip of alcohol . "But one glass too many can be expensive, because the airline can pass on the costs of the aborted takeoff. However, the missed vacation joys are priceless."
