White sneakers are "out" – instead, these bright colors are trending in summer 2025
Colorful sneakers will be everywhere in summer 2025.
White sneakers are an essential classic – that's beyond question. But this season, they're largely being replaced by bright colors. Models like the "Puma Speedcat" in bold red, pink, or green are already ubiquitous, while suede sneakers in a variety of brown shades are also at the forefront. And the runways – for example, at Ann Demeulemeester, Burberry, and Gucci – also proved that these colorful sneakers offer an exciting alternative to classic white models in summer 2025.
Below, VOGUE shows which shades of colorful sneakers are particularly popular, how to style them, and where you can shop for them.

The "pop of red" styling (that is, deliberately adding a splash of red to an otherwise simple look) shows no signs of going away. And a pair of red sneakers is one of the easiest ways to embrace this trend. Popular models at the moment include the "Puma Speedcats" and the "Adidas Taekwando."

Brown sneakers, especially suede ones, have experienced a remarkable resurgence recently – largely driven by the Miu Miu and New Balance collaboration. The warm, earthy color pairs perfectly with almost any outfit – from casual to dressy.

Yellow sneakers have been popular for several seasons now – especially the Onitsuka Tiger sneakers, which were originally popularized by Uma Thurman, who wore them with her yellow overalls in "Kill Bill."

For a slightly less obvious choice, opt for orange—the perfect vibrant color for the summer months. Pair it with a simple white tank top and jeans, and let the colorful sneakers do the talking.

Pink sneakers have been spotted repeatedly in the VOGUE office in recent months – the Adidas Gazelles and Miu Miu Plumes were particularly popular. Contrast these shoes with wide silhouettes and darker tones (if you're not going for the full balletcore look).

Those looking for something a little less daring could try the shoe trend with blue sneakers. These look just as good with a tracksuit as they do with jeans and a blazer.

Whether in bold emerald green or delicate mint, green sneakers are in right now. Not surprising, given that the color green is also omnipresent in other clothing this season. They offer the perfect blend of freshness and modernity.
