VOGUE in July and August 2025: These are the most beautiful pictures from the magazine

VOGUE in July and August 2025: These are the topics and most beautiful pictures from the issue.

"I hope this issue puts you in as good a mood while reading it as it did us while creating it, because—and this surprised us—it can be very amusing to lovingly engage with German idiosyncrasies," states Kerstin Weng, Head of Editorial Content at German VOGUE, in her editorial for the Collector's Issue for July and August . The creation of this issue was preceded by an insight: namely, that there is currently little real sense of community. "Everyone lives in their own bubbles, and the divides between them are deep. This is how the idea of dedicating this year's summer issue to unifying things was born," Kerstin Weng continues.

And so, the contents of this issue include not only 55 German labels worth discovering, but also a brilliant lesson in language. After all, there are some words in German that are quite special – or can you spontaneously think of the English translation for "Weltschmerz"?

This time, the cover photo shoot wasn't in one of the numerous studios in Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich, but in Loitsche near Magdeburg. Bill Kaulitz , singer and Netflix star , returned to his hometown of Saxony-Anhalt for the photo shoot. Fittingly, his childhood best friend provides insights into their life together.

VOGUE in July and August 2025: The best of fashion, beauty and features

Germany has a lot to offer in terms of fashion: Among other things, some well-known faces showcase their favorite red carpet looks. We also take a look at the success story of eyewear brand Mykita and visit Mönchengladbach to see the newcomer brand Midnight , which focuses on the community aspect. But even a seemingly less fashion-conscious hobby presents itself in style, as the fashion feature "Into the Green" demonstrates how elegantly hiking outfits can be interpreted.

Meanwhile, our beauty editors are exploring Germany's favorite fragrances and examining the history and hype surrounding Pilates . Plus, the best addresses for all kinds of treatments in Germany.

What else is uniquely German? There's the summery outdoor pool feeling, playfully captured by photographer Yvonne Wigger, or the ping-pong table, which transcends its boundaries as a playground and becomes a meeting place. Equally important: the weekly Tatort (crime scene), which will soon feature a new team in Frankfurt am Main. We spoke with the cast about the city's special charm.

Also worth a look: A look at Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025, where three Chemnitz residents tell us what their city has to offer. We also spoke with national team players Giulia Gwinn and Lena Oberdorf about the visibility of women's football in light of the upcoming Women's European Football Championship in Switzerland – and photographed the two in Munich's Olympic Stadium.

The brand-new July/August issue of VOGUE, themed "German Style," featuring Bill Kaulitz on the cover, has been available since June 21. You can order the issue here —also as a special Collector's Issue with a metallic logo.
