Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht arrested: This is what his lawyer says about the allegations

Actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (33) was arrested by federal police at Hamburg Airport after entering Germany. The reason: an allegedly outstanding hotel bill of €14,000. As the public prosecutor's office in Innsbruck, Austria, confirmed in response to an inquiry by the "Bild" newspaper , a European arrest warrant had previously been issued against Ochsenknecht.

Now his lawyer, Dr. Sebastian Skradde, has spoken to "Bild" about the allegations: "The incident dates back to 2022, when more than ten guests were staying with Jimi in the hotel. The hotel and Jimi disagreed on the hotel costs due to differing views on the cooperation. Jimi then offered a payment, of which installments were still outstanding. We simply paid the remainder today to put an end to the matter. There is no reason to detain Jimi. We assume that Jimi will be allowed to return to his filming immediately."

A statement from the authorities had already been issued, which, according to a spokeswoman, explained the situation as follows: "Mr. Ochsenknecht is suspected of having used hotel services worth almost 14,000 euros in a hotel in Kitzbühel within four days at the end of 2021 and then not paying. The German authorities must now decide on extradition and possible detention in Germany pending extradition."

Ochsenknecht himself also responded via Instagram . He initially posted pictures from the plane from Dubai that brought him to Hamburg. According to initial media reports, he published a caption with the words: "Don't worry, there's been a major misunderstanding. We're currently sorting it out." Three hours later, he posted a picture of a salami pizza on his stories. Whether he ate it while in custody or while he's already released is still unclear.
