Sky makes Apple's iPad surprisingly affordable but Argos has something even better

Buying the very latest iPad Air from Apple is always going to be a big investment with these popuar gadgets usually starting from £599. However, there are now some ways to make owing a premium tablet feel a lot more affordable. Firstly, Sky Mobile has a deal that is dishing out this device on contract. That means you can take delivery of the 11-inch Air and pay just £17 per month. There's not even anything to pay up front.
Sky's deal certainly makes a smaller dent in your bank balance but the offer does come with a warning.
You'll need to sign up for a 48-month term when buying the Air with the total price over 4 years coming to £816.
That does include a small amount of monthly data, and it features the more expensive cellular model that lets you access the web via mobile signal when away from Wi-Fi.
If that total price sounds a little expensive, then you might want to forget Sky and take a quick trip to Argos instead.
The UK retailer is currently offering a whopping £70 off the standard iPad (Wi-Fi only) which drops things down to just £529 - that's one of the lowest prices we've seen

Amazon and John Lewis also have similar deals on this device, and don't forget that Apple is currently running its student discountswith free AirPods, so it is worth shopping around.

As a quick reminder, this latest tablet features an impressive M3 processor, which makes it as fast as some laptops.
There's also a pin-sharp 11-inch screen, clever Centre Stage camera that follows you around so you always stay in shot during video calls and faster Wi-Fi 6E technology.
It's fully compatible with Apple's smart Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard case, plus there's 128GB of storage and long battery life.
If the 11-inch display sounds a bit small, there's also a bigger 13-inch version, which also has money off right now.
At its launch earlier this year, the 13-inch model cost a whopping £799, but that's now been slashed to just £729.
