PZU experts on the podium in international NATO cyber defense exercises

This year's fifteenth edition gathered hundreds of specialists from national rapid response teams. Poland's partner was France, and the team included experts from PZU: Jacek Pierścieniak, Tomasz Szyluk, Adam Zacheja, Tomasz Piętka, Krzysztof Stachowicz and Piotr Walczuk. In real time, they defended the virtualized infrastructure of the fictional country of Berylia against a coordinated operation by an aggressor codenamed Crimsonia.

– Once again, our team of cybersecurity specialists from PZU has been appreciated and invited by the National Cybersecurity Center subordinate to the Ministry of National Defense to participate in the world's largest coordinated cybersecurity exercises. The participating teams must not only maintain cybersecurity and availability of extensive IT systems, but also operate effectively in a number of related areas: handling technical, information and psychological incidents, legal advice, operational planning and mitigation of multi-domain threats in the realities of information warfare – which in practice reflects the real challenges of NATO countries in the current geopolitical situation – says Bartosz Zbyszewski, Cybersecurity Director at PZU.
The exercise included hundreds of virtualized systems reproducing diverse infrastructure – from power grids to military communications systems, verifying the ability to neutralize diverse threats in cyberspace.
