Iceye launches innovative system for delivering intelligence data from space

The ISR Cell is an easily deployable, mobile system that dramatically shortens the ISR loop from hours to minutes – from identifying data needs to distributing intelligence, Iceye said on its website.

Unlike traditional satellite intelligence, which is optimized for strategic or operational decisions made within hours or days, the ISR cell is designed to deliver critical information in minutes .

Airborne systems can be effectively used to acquire real-time intelligence , but their utility is limited by range, line of sight, and vulnerability to electronic warfare. The ISR cell overcomes these limitations by bringing intelligence from space directly to the tactical edge, the company wrote.

" The ISR Cell is a huge step forward in transforming the way military organizations access critical intelligence. It puts strategic intelligence tools in the hands of the commander in minutes, not hours or days, fundamentally changing the way modern operations are planned and executed," said Pekka Laurila, Chief Security Officer and Co-Founder of Iceye.

He added that Iceye's Mobile Satellite Operations Centers (ISR Cells) have already reached the production stage, with the first deliveries to customers scheduled for early 2026.
