Where Scrubs cast are now including 21-year age gap romance with British A-lister

Scrubs quickly became a hit among fans for its comedic storyline and much loved cast. Now, a revival of the iconic American hospital comedy, which attracted nearly 16 million viewers during its heyday, is set to grace our screens once more.
Network ABC, which aired its final two seasons, have listed the show for its 2025-2026 season and several Scrubs stalwarts are confirmed to have signed up for it.
Zach Braff and Donald Faison, whose legendary friendship as J.D. and Turk captivated audiences, alongside romantic lead Sarah Chalke, are all returning under series creator Bill Lawrence, who also co-developed Ted Lasso.
"Scrubs means so very much to me," Bill recently revealed to Variety. "So excited for the chance to get the band back together."
This year marks 15 years since Scrubs' final episode aired, so what have the cast been up to since, from an unexpected age-gap romance involving a Hollywood heavyweight to dramatic physical transformations?
Zach Braff - J.D.
Since waving goodbye to the series, he's turned his talents to directing, boasting titles like Wish I Was Here with Kate Hudson and 2017's Going in Style featuring Morgan Freeman.
Now 50, Zach has kept a tight bond with his on-screen best mate Donald Faison, who played Turk. The duo often share snaps together and have been hosting the podcast series Fake Doctors, Real Friends since 2020.
Zach's love life made headlines when he dated Florence Pugh, 29, known for her roles alongside Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde in Don't Worry Darling. Despite their 21-year age gap, the couple kept their split in August 2022 under wraps to avoid social media backlash.
Christa Miller - Jordan Sullivan
Christa is married to Scrub's producer Bill Lawrence. Now 61, she's starred in two more of Bill's creations, Cougar Town and the comedy series Shrinking.
The mum-of-three often shares snaps with her family on Instagram and remains close to co-star Zach Braff.
Donald Faison - Chris Turk
Donald, also known as Chris Turk, was already a fan favourite before his iconic role in Scrubs, thanks to his performances in Clueless and Remember The Titans. Now 51, the actor has continued to charm audiences with his on-screen presence, including a cameo in Pitch Perfect and lending his voice to pilot Hype Fazon in Star Wars Resistance.
Donald's personal life has seen its share of ups and downs. He was first married to Lisa Askey, with whom he had three children: Dade, Kobe, and Kaya. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2005 after four years together. Sadly, Lisa passed away suddenly in 2017. The star found love again and married CaCee Cobb and together they have two children, Rocco and Wilder.
Sarah Chalke - Elliot Reid
After the show, Sarah continued her streak in medical dramas, playing dermatologist and Ted Mosby's love interest Stella Zinman on How I Met Your Mother. The actress, 48, was engaged to long-term partner Jamie Afifi for 16 years before they split in September 2020.
They share daughter France and son Charlie who, at the age of two, was diagnosed with the rare illness Kawasaki disease - an inflammation of the blood vessels that can lead to heart conditions.
Judy Reyes - Carla Espinosa
Judy Reyes, who won over millions with her sharp wit as Carla Espinosa, went on to secure a leading role in Lifetime's Devious Maids after Scrubs ended. The actress, 57, was married to Edwin M. Figueroa for 11 years before they divorced in 2008. She's now happily settled with director partner George Valencia and the pair share a daughter, Leila Rey Valencia.
Neil Flynn - The Janitor
Neil, 64, was a familiar face on Scrubs, playing the prank-loving 'Janitor'. Post-Scrubs, the star landed a role in The Middle, which ran for nine years until 2018, and most notably appeared in the NBC sitcom Abby's.
John C McGinley - Dr. Perry Cox
John already had an impressive career before Scrubs, with roles in Point Break, Office Space and Wall Street, among others. Since hanging up his scrubs, he's starred in Burn Notice and the TV shows Chicago PD and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Now 65, he has one son, Max, with his first wife Lauren Lambert. They divorced in 2001. Max has Down's syndrome and John has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the condition.
He went on to tie the knot with yoga instructor Nichole Kessler in 2007, and they've since welcomed two daughters, Billie and Kate.
Ken Jenkins - Dr. Bob Kelso
Prior to joining the cast, Ken was already a beloved figure on screen, with roles in Psycho, The Sum Of Fears and Last Man Standing. Post-Scrubs, he played Courteney Cox's father on Cougar Town, among other roles. Now 84, Ken has been happily married to his second wife Katharine Houghton, 77, who is the niece of Katharine Hepburn, since 1970.
Robert Maschio - Dr. Todd
Robert has taken on a few acting roles since leaving the show - including a guest appearance on Cougar Town alongside his former Scrubs castmates and a spot in the TV series Bones.
However, since 2017, the ex-star has been making waves as a real estate agent in California. Despite stepping back from the spotlight, Robert frequently posts nostalgic snaps from his Scrubs days on social media and seems to have kept a close bond with his former co-stars.
Eliza Coupe - Denise 'Jo' Mahoney
Eliza Coupe starred as Denise 'Jo' Mahoney for the final two series of Scrubs and since then has appeared in hit series Happy Endings, Future Man, Casual and Benched.
The actress, now 44, opened up about battling an eating disorder with "a sprinkle of bulimia" and would constantly "over-exercise".
She had to enrol in a 12-step food programme - which tackles difficulties with food using the same principles as Alcoholic Anonymous.
