The Chase's Shaun Wallace issued devastating blow on ITV show with damning data

The Chase star Shaun Wallace has been dealt a huge blow on the ITV quiz show after data revealed he is the least likely to win out of all six chasers. Shaun – AKA The Dark Destroyer – has appeared on 470 episodes of the programme, trailing behind Mark Labbett at 492 and Anne Hegerty at 487.
Out of those 470 episodes, Shaun has won 331, and lost 139. That gives him a win percentage of 70.4% – the lowest of all the chasers. Mark’s win percentage stands at 75.2%, Anne’s at 79.9% and Paul Sinha’s at 78.7%. Jenny Ryan, meanwhile, has won 79.2% of her episodes, while newest chaser Darragh Ennis – who only has 101 episodes to his name – has won 78.2% according to statistics website One Question Shootout.
Data available on the site also revealed how much each chaser has prevented the teams from winning overall, and how much they let go to the contestants. Shaun, for example, has saved ITV a total of £5,484,699, while giving away £2,746,400. The average payout per episode works out at £5,843.
The site also has a “The Chase in numbers” section, confirming that 533 teams overall won the final chase, taking home an epic overall prize pot of £11.6million since the show began.
When it comes to celebrity specials, Shaun is once again trailing behind his fellow chasers, but Darragh has the lowest win percentage for those episodes with just 25%. Shaun’s percentage is at 43.3%, while Mark comes in at 65.7%, Anne at 69.4% and Paul at 71%. Jenny has the highest win percentage for celebrity editions at 78.9%.
Shaun is also losing ITV plenty of money when he faces off against celebs, with an average payout of £47,135 per episode. The only higher average payout is from Darragh, who has given out an average of £72,250 per episode.
