Selena Gomez' Met Gala Looks Through the Years — See Photos

The Met Gala 2025 is just around the corner, and one style star we hope to see take on the famous red carpet is Selena Gomez — potentially with fiancé Benny Blanco.
Since 2019, Selena Gomez has been carving out her name in the makeup industry with Rare Beauty, so seeing her sporting her own products on the red carpet would surely be a major beauty moment we've never gotten to see. Not to mention, that engagement ring will look amazing with a tailored gown to match this year's dress code.
Selena Gomez has already served quite the looks at previous Met Galas, but it's been a while since she attended the event. The star made her Met Ball debut in 2014 and came back to New York for five consecutive years before attending her last Gala to date in 2018.

At the Met Gala or not, Sel is still one of the most sought-after celebs on red carpets, and she's had quite the glamorous run while promoting Emilia Pérez, so her return could be inching closer than we think.
While we don't know if Selena will be heading up the Met stairs this first Monday in May, in anticipation, we wanted to look back and reminisce about her past Met Gala looks. From her first appearance in a beautifully draped Diane Von Furstenberg gown to her heavenly Coach dress.

Selena's very first Met Gala was in 2014 with the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” theme. She donned a dark plum mermaid dress from Diane Von Furstenberg with a coordinating lip color, updo, and drop earrings.
Selena went with a standout all-white look the following year for “China: Through The Looking Glass.” She paired the Vera Wang gown with white flowers adorning her hair and a bold red lip for a pop of color.
Selena wore her edgiest look yet to the 2016 Met Gala. She layered a sleek bustier over a printed Louis Vuitton dress and finished the look with lace-up combat boots for the night's futuristic “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology” theme.
For “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” Selena wore an embellished white gown from Coach. She accessorized with a small purse, kitten heels, and a choker, which was a major trend at the time.
For the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination" gala, Selena wore a semi-sheer white tiered dress from Coach. She even wore a cross necklace, getting the theme down to the detail — even though she had a slight tanning mishap.
