Naomi Campbell sensationally BANNED from Met Gala amid feud with Vogue’s Anna Wintour

NAOMI Campbell has been sensationally banned from attending this year’s Met Gala amid her feud with Vogue supremo Anna Wintour.
Supermodel Naomi, 54, may have made a major mistake last September by bad-mouthing Met host Anna, 75, on-stage at an industry event.
And it appears the magazine’s U.S. editor and global chief content officer has held quite the grudge, excluding the 66-time cover star from fashion’s biggest night out.
A source told The Sun: “Naomi shot herself in the stiletto with that comment. You don’t throw shade at the queen of fashion and still expect to walk her red carpet.
“Anna doesn’t forget - or forgive. It’s no coincidence. If Anna wants you out, you’re out. Simple as that.
“Naomi’s been a Met staple for decades, so her absence from the list hasn’t gone unnoticed. Everyone’s whispering - and it’s Anna’s way of reminding who runs the show.”
Although The Sun has learned of Naomi's ban, she recently tried to cover her back by insisting that she felt "too old" to ever attend the ceremony again.
Speaking in a YouTube video posted last week, she said of the 2024 gala: "It is my last. I can't... I'm too old. It's too much for me, the anxiety.
"I don't know what number this is, I think it could be either 20 or 21. Can you imagine?"
Set to take place tomorrow at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year's Met Gala takes the theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Anna's Met Gala co-chairs comprise of Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and LeBron James this year.
The pair's clash dates back to a New York Fashion Week ceremony for Harlem’s Fashion Row - where Anna referred to Naomi’s notorious lateness.
She told the audience last year: “I am a very punctual person, and I have the honour of presenting tonight to someone who is often late.”
But Naomi, who wore a black gown and had a bandage on her knee, lived up to her reputation and was so late that Anna eventually left.
Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr ended up presenting her with the Fashion Icon Award instead.
Accepting the gong, Naomi retorted: “It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady, I’d much rather have this one.”
Her comments sparked gasps from the crowd.
The Londoner has been on the cover of Vogue 66 times under Anna, making her the fashion bible’s first black woman to appear on the cover in 1989.
Naomi's representatives have been contacted for comment.
