Mariah Carey Suits Up in Dolce & Gabbana on the September 2025 Cover of British Harper’s Bazaar

Lydia Slater has mastered the art of securing the crème de la crème from the world of entertainment for the covers of British Harper’s Bazaar. After all, throughout 2025 alone, names like Pamela Anderson, Rosamund Pike, Florence Pugh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Lily-Rose Depp have covered the publication. Slater, who has helmed the magazine since 2020, welcomes none other than Mariah Carey onto the cover of British Harper’s Bazaar for September 2025. Bringing out the big guns for what is considered the print industry’s biggest event, Mariah is placed before the lens of Bazaar regular Alexi Lubomirski. In the black and white cover shot, the American music legend is all smiles suiting up in Dolce & Gabbana which was selected for the occasion by cover shoot stylist Miranda Almond.

“Given everything Mariah Carey is, they chose this. Men’s clothing. In black & white. For a September cover,” remarked VanillaCrush upon checking out the cover.
“This feels so out of left field coming from British Harper’s Bazaar, and feels more suited to the American edition. Not a fan to be completely honest. Despite Mariah Carey, it’s a very underwhelming and bland-looking cover. The Dolce look is immaculate, but so boring for September. Lubomirski’s photography feels flat here too,” voiced vogue28.
MModa wasn’t exactly best impressed either. “I only like the color contrast between the pink fonts and the black and white photograph of Mariah. However, this is nothing new. In terms of the styling and new season fashion, this is a lackluster proposal for a September cover,” they confessed.
“Not that I mind Mariah, and it’s someone different for the cover, certainly unexpected, so there’s that,” noted forum member tigerrouge.
