Former GB News presenter Isabel Webster launched her new podcast, New Chapters, after leaving the TV channel.

Isabel switched her usual presenting slot for a passion project as she focused on work closer to home which allowed her to focus on her journalism skills while doing work she could really throw herself into.

Her last day was in December 2024, and in September 2025 the first episode of her highly anticipated podcast aired.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Isabel said: "The news landscape really changed so much since I first started out, I was questioning the value of what I was doing. It was increasingly challenging to speak truth.

"A lot of it became fact checking, conspiracy theories, and then I'd get abuse for it. I just wanted a bit of space from the daily routine, so I thought I'd recallibrate. I wanted to do something uplifting, positive, that would bring me joy, but still use my experience of interviewing."

Isabel said the transition was very "organic" to move onto the podcast and she's been really proud of how it has performed so far.

She explained that it has been listed "above average" and she was ranking 22 in the UK for her first episode, which was incredibly impressive for a new podcast.

"It's really encouraging," she added, "I think there's an appetite for what I'm doing, and people are getting used to seeing me in a different sort of space. It's building something new and it's really fulfilling and really exciting."

The goal is to be listening to people who have had a transformation in their life, however that may look.

She said: "I wanted to talk to other people who have had incredible and extraordinary stories to tell, whether they're small reinventions or huge, it's really broad. Everybody's lives are like a series of chapters.

"It gives me a lot of flexibility of topics, anything from becoming a parent, to divorce or quitting your job. We've covered all these topics."

Isabel explained that she has been able to inject more of her own personality into this project, compared to her time as a news anchor, adding that the new ventue was an "obvious pivot" for her.
