Furious GMB fans switch off as they rage at 'awful' Labour minister grilling: 'Going easy'

Good Morning Britain's Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh came under fire as they brought Treasury Minister James Murray onto the show to ask about trade deals. This comes after US President Donald Trump announced his new string of tariffs for countries all around the world who import US goods, as the UK has been hit with a 10% charge.

Ranvir asked: "We had the Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride on, who said that your government has been "flat-footed" in negotiations to date, he said why did it take four months to get the Business Secretary in front of his opposite number at the White House, we've now got a President who is up for a trade deal, and lots of progress was done, and you haven't built on that since July. Why?"

"I think everyone would acknowledge that the reason why we are having these negotiations is because of the PM's visit to Washington earlier this year and his relationship which he has built with the President and the strength of the relationship between the US and the UK. That's why we're having these negotiations. Now we need to develop those negotiations. We want to get to a deal because that's the way to both mitigate the impact of the tariffs and to make a relationship between the UK and the US stronger which is in both of our interests."

When asked if he would support people in the UK boycotting US products in response to the new charges, Murray responded: "I'm not going to support a boycott because the US is our closest ally, we want to strengthen the economic relationship between the US and UK, because we want to mitigate the impact of the tariffs."

As Ranvir and Adil failed to grill the Labour minister, fans rushed to social media to hit out at the pair for an "awful" interview.

One said: "Shame Adil is presenting, have switched over to BBC as always do when he's on." Another added: "When I seen these two turned straight over."

A third chimed in: "Could we have Rob Rinder on Fridays please?"

A fourth raged: "What sort of interview was that? 'When was the last time you went to a pub'."

A fifth agreed: "That was one awful interview by these two."
