Forum Members Review the Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2025 Collection

On day two of the Fall 2025 season of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s four-day schedule granted us Chanel – the last designed by the in-house design team. The collection marked the final collection from the fabled French fashion house before Matthieu Blazy unveils his debut collection for Chanel in October. Lorde, Naomi Campbell, Penélope Cruz, and Keira Knightley were just some of the stars who assembled within the Salon d’Honneur at the Grand Palais. The elegant set evoked the first Chanel couture salons on 31 rue Cambon, while models emerged from backstage donning a lineup of winter classics with flashes of gold and a rich mix of textures, with each look inspired by the English countryside and Scottish moors.

“Wow! It’s bad, really bad! It looks like Chanel x Temu, Shein or whatever. Karl had he’s bad collections or outfits and questionable choises, but at least it was well made. This isn’t well made, and it seemed different collections pieced together. And the boots…” [Mrs.T]

“Those are some ugly garments.” [Creative]

“What horrible shoes. I can’t move past them, I’m sorry. For such looks, would they not have noticed that a heel would have been far better?” [Cocteau Stone]

“I have no words for how bad it was. Even the casting wasn’t great. What a flop.” [Simera]

“It’s just straight up ugly. The silhouette is worse than boxy, it’s shapeless. Tweed and lame just aren’t a complimentary pair, but to shoehorn them in together like that is truly baffling.” [Squizree]

“Where do I start… The tweed is having an identity crisis. The proportions of dresses are mostly wrong. The whole collection feels timid and outdated. They wanted to play it safe, and it shows.” [QuantumCouture]
