Eurovision 2025: What time is the semi-final on TV today and who is performing?

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 continues tonight, Thursday 15 May, with the second semi-final broadcast live across the UK. Music fans can expect another high-energy evening as 16 countries compete for a coveted spot in Saturday’s Grand Final.
This year’s contest is hosted in Basel, Switzerland, following Nemo’s win for the country in 2024. The live shows have been generating buzz across Europe, and tonight's semi-final is set to be another major event.
The second semi-final of Eurovision 2025 will be broadcast live in the UK at 8:00pm and you can watch the show on BBC One or stream it live on BBC iPlayer.
For radio listeners, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds will also be covering the event live, with commentary from Sara Cox and Richie Anderson.
Although the United Kingdom automatically qualifies for the final as part of Eurovision’s 'Big Five,' the UK’s 2025 entry will still be featured during tonight’s show.
Country-pop trio Remember Monday will perform their entry 'What The Hell Just Happened?' live during the broadcast. Their appearance gives UK viewers a preview of the act they’ll be supporting in the final.

Voting will open after all 16 performances and can be done via phone, SMS, or the official Eurovision app. Full details will be provided during the broadcast.

Lithuania – Katarsis with Tavo akys
Georgia – Mariam Shengelia singing Freedom
Israel – Yuval Raphael with New Day Will Rise
Also featured in the show will be preview clips from three automatic finalists: France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Tonight’s show will include a tribute to the cancelled Eurovision 2020 contest. Artists originally selected for that year will return to perform their songs, including:
