The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 continues tonight, Thursday 15 May, with the second semi-final broadcast live across the UK. Music fans can expect another high-energy evening as 16 countries compete for a coveted spot in Saturday’s Grand Final.

This year’s contest is hosted in Basel, Switzerland, following Nemo’s win for the country in 2024. The live shows have been generating buzz across Europe, and tonight's semi-final is set to be another major event.

For radio listeners, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds will also be covering the event live, with commentary from Sara Cox and Richie Anderson.

Although the United Kingdom automatically qualifies for the final as part of Eurovision’s 'Big Five,' the UK’s 2025 entry will still be featured during tonight’s show.

Country-pop trio Remember Monday will perform their entry 'What The Hell Just Happened?' live during the broadcast. Their appearance gives UK viewers a preview of the act they’ll be supporting in the final.

Voting details

UK audiences will be able to vote in tonight’s semi-final. While you cannot vote for the UK’s entry, you can help decide which other countries progress to the Grand Final.

Voting will open after all 16 performances and can be done via phone, SMS, or the official Eurovision app. Full details will be provided during the broadcast.
