- Dejon’s harsh dismissal of Billykiss sparks Ofcom threats.
- Season 2025 has already amassed over 1,500 complaints.
- Fans accuse ITV of unfair editing and enabling toxic behavior.
- Ofcom previously dismissed complaints, citing conflict resolution.
- Viewer backlash highlights growing scrutiny over reality TV ethics.
Love Island 2025 has stirred new outrage. Viewers are threatening to report the show to Ofcom over a heated argument they see as clearly disrespectful.
The latest issue involves Islander Dejon Noel-Williams, whose harsh comments toward newcomer Billykiss have been called bullying.

Tensions rose after a Superman-themed challenge when Dejon was criticized for not being committed. When Billykiss confronted him about sending mixed signals, he coldly brushed her off, saying,
“You’re not someone I would want to get to know in here, or on the outside.”
He then stormed off, leaving viewers angry.
Social media reacted quickly. One fan said,
“Complaining to @Ofcom. Allowing Dejon to speak to BillyKiss like that is not appropriate.”
Another commented,
“That comment was HORRID; it shows his true character.”
The backlash reflects earlier complaints this season, including accusations of misogyny and unfair editing.
This isn’t the first time Love Island has faced criticism. Earlier episodes received 1,138 complaints in June, with fans calling out contestants like Ben Holbrough for misogynistic remarks. In July, 432 complaints were filed over Helena Ford’s resurfaced offensive tweets and claims of unfair editing against Shakira Khan.
Ofcom has previously dismissed some complaints, stating that conflicts were “not shown in a positive light.” However, with emotions running high, fans believe the show needs to address repeated issues. As one viewer stated,
Will ITV Take Action?“The boys’ reaction to Shakira being upset says everything about them.”
While Love Island thrives on drama, some feel the line between entertainment and toxicity is fading. With complaints increasing, pressure is mounting for ITV to reconsider its duty of care, especially following past controversies. As tensions rise in the villa, fans are closely watching to see if there will be accountability.
