Beyond Paradise's Margo Martins is one of the hit BBC show's favourite characters. Played by Felicity Montagu, the no-nonsense office support for DI Humphrey Goodman, is the backbone of Shipton Abbott's police station. Whilst not much is not known about Felicity's personal life on the show, in real life, Margo has a very impressive family. Montagu hails from a sizable family of five siblings and boasts an impressive family history. Her father, Lieutenant-Colonel John Drogo Montagu, descends from the esteemed Royal Navy officer Admiral George Montagu.

The historical significance doesn't stop there; George was the scion of James Montagu, whose own lineage traces back to Henry Montagu, 1st Earl of Manchester, a judge, politician, and peer notorious for sentencing Sir Walter Raleigh to death. James made his mark as an MP for Huntingdon in the English House of Commons alongside none other than Oliver Cromwell in 1628.

Meanwhile, Felicity also has a well-known daughter who is in the acting world. Felicity and Olivia appeared in the BBC Radio 4 series Guilt Trip together , where they played a mother-daughter pair. The roles were fueled by a package holiday to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, which they had experienced together.

On their unique connection, she commented: "We've always had a rough and tumble relationship. Forever catching up with each other because I was grieving when I gave birth and then I got very ill and was in hospital for weeks."

Opening up about the challenging times during the birth of Olivia, her daughter, Felicity revealed it was a mere three months after her own mothers demise due to cancer. Gina Ford, who would later gain recognition as a childcare guru, was Olivia's baby nurse at the time.

"She was whipped away and taken home because I couldn't breastfeed her. It was a strange beginning," reflected Felicity. She went on to contrast these early adversities with her more privileged upbringing, remembering the support her parents provided for her acting pursuits even amidst their reservations.

She shares Olivia and Luke with her ex-husband, TV and radio producer Alan Nixon, who she married back in 1984. Though they split in 2006, she divulged: "We're still a team," adding, "My children make me laugh a lot."
