BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood wasted no time giving co-star Sally Nugent a warm welcome as she made a return to the beloved show.

Sally, 54, was back on our TV screens after going missing for a few weeks. She took on presenting duties alongside co-host Jon Kaye.

As the duo crossed live to Carol for her usual segment, the weather quickly turned her attention to Sally as she admitted: “It’s great to have you back, Sal.”

Sally replied: “Thank you, it’s lovely to be back.”
