A Place in the Sun star unveils dramatic 2st weight loss after one huge change to diet

Fans of A Place In The Sun will soon be seeing far less of presenter Craig Rowe in the future as the star has undergone a dramatic body transformation, dropping 15kg after a huge health kick last year. While dropping the pounds has ensured he looks camera ready is an added bonus, he also managed to reverse his diganosis of pre-diabetes. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk he explained he found consistency to be key when it came to his lifestyle overhaul.
"I knew if I could be consistent and if I could be more disciplined, I knew I could make some changes, and that's what's happened," he says. "And you know, six months later, I'm two stone ighter. My blood sugar is now in the middle range of normal, which I've never been it's always been either high normal or pre diabetic. I think all the, all the changes I've made, and the consistency, which is what I wanted to focus on, that's really what's made the difference. "Now, even if I don't want to go to gym or I don't feel like going out for a walk I do it. I don't even listen to that voice that says I'm tired. I just go. And even if I do it for 20 minutes I've still gone, and that's been a big shift," he said.
Craig began his lifestyle change late last year after talking to a nutritionist and even remained disiplined throughout the festive season, when event he most ardent gym goers tend to let their hair down. Asked why he didn't just wait untilt he new year he explained he needed to take the bull by the horns.
"I went and worked out all over Christmas. I said no to many Christmas parties as I were trying to minimise the drink. I went to the gym on Christmas Eve, on Boxing Day, on New Year's Eve, on New Year's Day. I was really committed to the cause. I knew if I didn't start and left this longer the damage I would do, especially over Christmas. I knew if I gave myself carte blanche to do quite well over Christmas, I'd have another half stone on me, because my body once I start putting on weight, the weight seems to come quicker and quicker."
Alongside regular workouts Craig has made significant dietary changes as well. "I mostly cook apart from when I'm filming. All I can do then is take protein shakes with me. But I try and make really good decisions when I'm away filming. I've got really good at prepping. And it doesn't need be complicated. Steam some veg, mix a salad together, buy some reboiled Chicken, chuck it all in. It's dead easy. So I've learned to make it easy for myself," he said.
Craig admits his drastic changes also had an affect on his loved ones. "My partner, who moved in with me in March, he had been calling me a fitness bore when I declined some parties. You know how it is when you get into something new. I was talking more about my routine and the F45 and things I learned, how many steps I've done today, and he was, 'Oh, my God, you've become such a fitness bore'.
"However, since moving in with me, he's joined the team, and now he's also become a fitness bore and he's lost about seven or eight kilogrammes, and he's really feeling good," he laughed. "I'd like to think is I'm sort of leading by example of the people near me on my inner circle. I think it's sort of spilling over to them a little bit as well."
Craig is understandably proud of his results after all the work he put in. "It sort of feels like a reward now to to feel good in my own skin and to reverse the prediabetes," he said.
"I've reversed at the moment. It's one of those things where I'm out of the woods only, as long as I continue to keep my lifestyle as it is. If I go back to slobbering around eating packets of biscuits, it won't be long before I'm back to being pre diabetic, so I've got to constantly, kind of keep an eye on it."
