Facial pimple patches rarely cover the larger surface area of body breakouts, and spot treatments are tough to use under clothes. These extra-large hydrocolloid patches cover more skin and feature side notches for a secure fit. Our tester found they targeted body acne effectively and stayed in place—even overnight.
With antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and collagen, this firming formula targets loss of skin elasticity. The lightweight, velvety cream glides effortlessly on the skin to hydrate for a plump, smooth finish, leaving behind a scent of bergamot, sweet orange, and rosemary. Our tester notes that the cream felt luxurious on her skin and was a great moisturizer to use before applying oils: “I usually lean towards thicker formulas to quench my dry skin, but the texture of this milk is somewhere in between a lotion and a serum, and still gives me the hydration I crave.”
This silky gel—containing shea butter plus hyaluronic acid—is a far cry from the old streaky, sticky formulas that used to be omnipresent on the market. The lilac tint offsets any orange cast, and color appears in just two hours (with full depth in four hours). Our tester loved the lemongrass scent and how easily it blends in. “I used to be a self-tanning devotee, but I got sick of the headache-inducing smell and the streaks,” she said. “Because this formula is slightly tinted and goes on like lotion, it eliminates streaks. And it doesn’t have a strong smell.”
Hair removal treatments like shaving and waxing can often result in irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs. Fur’s Flash Repair Jelly uses hypochlorous acid, a compound naturally produced by your white blood cells that can be used to disinfect wounds and soothe skin. The fast-acting formula is cooling and has a smooth jelly texture. Our tester used the product after shaving his face and noted that it “felt immediately cooling, which helped to soothe my skin and reduce any sensitivity. I also had less redness and bumpiness.”
Selena Gomez has said that her hands often shake due to her lupus medication. For her and many others who live with dexterity issues, using traditional perfume bottles can prove difficult. Rare Beauty’s new perfume solves that problem with an accessible vessel designed in collaboration with certified hand therapists and packaging engineers. The bottle features an oversized flat pump and rounded base for a secure grip. In a consumer study conducted by the brand encompassing 56 individuals with a range of mild to severe mobility impairments, 96 percent of the group found the bottle easier to use compared to standard perfumes. The fragrance itself is a sophisticated take on a classic gourmand, with notes of vanilla, ginger, and caramel.
Sexual wellness brand Mienne is on a mission to turn skin care into an exploration of intimacy. The brand’s body serum deftly blends sensuality and function: It’s made with purported aphrodisiacs such as maca and saffron, and also contains hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid to draw moisture into the skin and boost hydration. Plus, the sculptural vessel serves as an objet d’art for your vanity. Our tester said that this serum was easy to spread and felt luxurious to use, leaving her skin feeling soft and smooth.
This natural deodorant’s clever formula uses mandelic acid, a gentle exfoliator with antibacterial properties, to help fight odors. Sunflower wax and vitamin B help soothe the delicate skin on your underarms, and the brand’s signature eucalyptus scent is laced with additional notes like Siberian fir, lavender, and ginger for a comforting, fresh fragrance that lasts all day. “Nécessaire’s The Deodorant worked well with my body chemistry, smells great, and didn’t leave any weird sweat stains on my shirts,” our tester said, adding that it lasted all day.
It’s hard to bottle optimism, but that’s what perfumer Olivier Polge has done with this sunny, bright perfume that combines the tartness of raspberry with the smell of an earthy garden. A specially developed raspberry accord (a first for the brand) hooks you from the first sniff. Our tester said that the scent smelled powdery, fresh, and very light.
Manuka honey, made by bees that have pollinated tea trees, is known for its skin-healing properties. When folded into a bar of soap, it helps lock in moisture and deeply nourish. Our tester said that this soap smells sweet but has an earthy undertone, and didn’t leave her skin feeling dry or tight, even before she used body lotion.
Turns out white truffle isn’t just for fries—it also contains powerful bioactives to firm skin. Adding it to diamond powder in this body oil makes for a supremely luxurious and glowy experience. And if you’re expecting to smell like a pizza, you’ll instead be pleasantly surprised by the scent of tiaré flower, saltwater, and bitter orange. Our tester called this one of the richest body oils she’s ever tried, with a silky feel that took her from feeling like a lizard (scaly, dry) to a dolphin (glossy, dewy).
