'Unwatchable!' GMB Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh spark fury with 'biased' Mel Stride probe

'Unwatchable!' GMB Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh spark fury with 'biased' Mel Stride probe

Good Morning Britain returned to ITV with the latest headlines, but with Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh at the helm, viewers took to social media to express their fury with the presenting duo. This came after they were joined by Tory Chancellor Mel Stride, who blasted Prime Minister Keir Starmer's response to the 10% trade deal that US President Donald Trump recently revealed.

The politician said: "Nobody wants the high tariffs that the United States have brought in, that's going to have huge consequences." However, as Stride stated the Tory government got "very close to concluding" a trade deal while in government, he claimed it took the current government "four months" to finalise this deal and added: "We need them to speed up." As Ranvir highlighted the Conservative Party's history with the US trade deals from Boris Johnson's initial 2017 announcement viewers took to social media with backlash, including one who raged: "The contempt shown by Adil & Ranvir to this MP is unbelievable, not a balanced interview at all."

Another added: "Adil Ray should be wearing arm bands. He is so far out of his depth. He makes the programme unwatchable."

One raged: "How did these two get this gig?" Another blasted the presenter's line of questioning and raged: "Why is @adilray still on our screens?"

"Ranvir cuts Mel Stride short because he didn't suit ITV's mandated narrative, and then goes on to state he is wrong and his points were insignificant!! FFS this is blatant narrative bias," claimed a fuming viewer.

Speaking to the MP, Ranvir continued: "You're saying that this government's being flat-footed, that may well be true but you had 14 years. You had many, many years after we left the EU to sort this out. Isn't that part of the problem that you failed us?”
