Explosion in a car in Konya! There are dead and injured

The incident took place at around 17:30 near Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital in the Akademi Neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district.

According to the allegations, an explosion occurred for an unknown reason in the car with the license plate 42 D 9030, in which the family was leaving the Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital. Fire, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.

While the flames were extinguished by the fire brigade, it was determined that 3-month-old Mustafa Çakmak and his aunt Rabia Yıldız , who were in the car in the explosion, died at the scene. Fatma Çakmak and her husband Halil Çakmak were injured. The injured couple were taken to Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulance.

DISCHARGED FROM THE NEONATAL CLINIC It was learned that before the explosion, Fatma and Halil Çakmak were going to take their 3-month-old baby Mustafa, who had been discharged from the neonatal ward where he was receiving treatment, and were going to head home. According to initial findings, the explosion was caused by an oxygen tank in the car. An investigation is ongoing into the incident.
