Excavator operator injured in Denizli forest fire
Crews continued to fight a forest fire that broke out in the Çatak neighborhood of Denizli 's Buldan district this evening, despite challenging conditions. Burak P., a staff member of the Buldan Forest Operations Directorate, was injured after being dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire on a steep terrain. Burak P., a bulldozer operator, became entangled in the bulldozer equipment during the operation. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene after the entrapment and transported him to the nearest hospital. Burak P., who suffered a fractured metatarsal bone, is reported to be in good condition.
It was reported that the forest fire, which started at noon, continues in the Buharkent district of Aydın and that work is continuing.
