Trump was surprised by what he saw at the restaurant
US President Donald Trump encountered an unexpected protest at a restaurant he visited in the capital, Washington.
Trump, who went to a restaurant with Vice President J.D. Vance and some cabinet members to demonstrate that Washington was becoming safer, was met with a protest by the group CodePink, a group formed by women against the war, chanting "Free Palestine, Free Washington."

Trump nodded to the women, who were chanting "Trump is today's Hitler," and then waved the demonstrators away. The demonstrators continued chanting as they were escorted out of the restaurant by Trump's guards.
