Nike unveils the world's first motorized shoe system

Nike has introduced a new footwear system for running and walking. This system incorporates a supportive system that fits over a standard athletic shoe. It seamlessly integrates with a carbon fiber-clad running shoe that can be worn with or without a robotic system.
A MOTORIZED SHOE SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES HIGHER PERFORMANCE FROM NIKENike's Project Amplify system focuses on non-professional athletes. It's described as the world's first motorized shoe system for running and walking, offering greater speed with less effort.
Designed to increase lower leg and ankle movement, the Project Amplify system promises to offer a different experience by providing support to those who are not professionals but want fast and high performance.
The art and science portion of this product, which is still in the testing phase, is handled by Nike, while the robotics component is handled by the partnership with Dephy. According to the statement, the shoe system is planned to be available to a wider audience in the coming years.

The shoe system is lightweight and has a powerful motor. The strap system that holds the leg is rechargeable.
This makes it easier for everyday exercisers to walk or run more frequently for longer periods of time. Testers of this system, also known as a second set of calf muscles, reported improved performance.
So much so that they said that the 1 mile (about 1.6 km) they used to travel in 12 minutes was reduced to 10 minutes.
The system was optimized for athletes running at 150-160 meters. The system was tested on more than 400 people and analyzed a total of 2.4 million steps.
