New monetization feature for YouTube

New revenue models are being introduced to increase user numbers on digital platforms. YouTube will generate additional revenue with its new Gift Goals feature in the US. The feature is available for vertical live broadcasts on mobile and aims to increase viewer engagement, in addition to the Goals feature introduced for Super Chats last year.
YOUTUBE'S NEW FEATUREThe new feature allows content creators to offer rewards to their viewers when they reach a certain donation amount.
YouTube targets both content creators and those who follow them, and offers this feature to encourage them to spend more time on the platform.
YouTube says the new feature allows creators to set a target donation amount and set a timeframe to reach the goal before sharing it with their viewers.
For those unfamiliar, YouTube has a feature called Gifts that allows viewers to send interactive digital gifts to creators they follow, which can be viewed in real-time during a live broadcast. Viewers can send animated gifts by purchasing a virtual currency called Jewels.
Here's how it works: Content creators are paid in Ruby. 100 Ruby is equivalent to $1. Gifts and paid Super Stickers are different and shouldn't be confused. Gifts appear only in vertical live streams, while Super Stickers appear in live chats.
