Meta acquires artificial intelligence company

Meta, which has been increasing its investments in artificial intelligence and acquiring various companies, has now acquired an AI company called PlayAI. Officially operating under the Meta umbrella, PlayAI can generate human-like sounds using AI.

A Meta spokesperson confirmed the acquisition of the company, which has become renowned for its audio capabilities. According to Bloomberg, the entire PlayAI team will soon join the company.

Meta states that PlayAI's easy-to-use sound generation infrastructure, based on its work on creating natural sounds, can be used in various projects. This infrastructure will allow the two companies to work on a variety of areas, from creating AI characters to Meta's wearable technologies.
