AUTOMATICALLY CALLED FOR EMERGENCY HELPThe feature, which Apple introduced with the iPhone 14 series in 2022 and is available on all iPhone and Apple Watch models after iOS 16, detects the accident in the event of a serious crash and calls emergency services. Leskovac's iPhone also sent a 911 call shortly after the crash. Crews quickly arrived at the scene and extricated the young woman from the wrecked vehicle and rushed her to the hospital.
According to local sources, Leskovac suffered fractures to both legs and her neck. However, thanks to rapid intervention, she escaped from life-threatening situations. Experts say that even seconds matter in such situations, and the automatic call from the accident detection system saved the young girl's life.
