China's focus on Microsoft in the US: Critical link being discussed

US Secretary of Defense Hegseth X made a statement on his social media account regarding the news that Microsoft received help from Chinese engineers regarding the computer systems in the Ministry.
Hegseth stated that this situation will be investigated as soon as possible and said, "No engineers from foreign countries, including China, should be allowed to access Ministry of Defense systems."
Microsoft Spokesperson Frank Shaw responded to the allegations in a statement on the X social media account.
Shaw stated that Microsoft made changes following concerns about the issue and that technical support will no longer be received from China-based engineers.
"We are committed to providing the most secure services possible to the U.S. government," Shaw said.
ProPublica, an independent investigative journalism organization, alleged last week that Microsoft had received assistance from Chinese engineers on computer systems at the Department of Defense.
The report claimed that US personnel did not adequately supervise this process, and that the country's most sensitive data was left vulnerable.
Republican Senator from the US state of Arkansas, Tom Cotton, reacted to the claim and requested an explanation from the Ministry on the issue.
