Apple wants to move to robotics in its manufacturing supply chain

Tech companies have automation and advanced production lines. Another company working to achieve this is Apple.
Apple is reportedly pushing for increased robotic systems in its supply chain, according to a new report. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple has been advocating for increased automation at supplier facilities for more than two years.
Apple is now reportedly requiring automation as a standard prerequisite for its manufacturing contracts. This move is said to minimize labor dependency, ensure product quality and uniformity across different facilities, and reduce long-term production costs due to the availability of supply chains outside of China.
The automation mandate Apple is allegedly looking to introduce covers all product categories, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
