A woman who gave birth at home despite warnings died

Jennifer Cahill, a 34-year-old international export manager in England, said she wanted a completely "natural, physiological" birth, without medication or external intervention, to give birth to her daughter, Agnes Lily.
However, this desire brought a tragic and unforgettable end. Both the baby and mother died during the birth. An investigation was launched into the incident. Julie Turner, the midwife who tried to assist her in the final stages of labor, recounted those moments at a hearing held in Rochdale:
"She was angry with herself because things weren't going her way. She was struggling and she cried out, 'I really want to do this. I'm a fighter! Why won't my body let me?'"
Home Birth Support Group Under Investigation The inquest also heard that police this week investigated an online home birth support group called Home Birth Support Group UK because Cahill was a member. However, after the group declared it did not provide medical advice to pregnant women, no further action was taken as part of the investigation.
WHY DID SHE WANT TO HAVE A HOME BIRTH?
Jennifer Cahill chose to give birth at home last June, her daughter Agnes Lily, after feeling she hadn't received enough support at the hospital when she gave birth to her son three years earlier.
