Your headache may be caused by air conditioning! There is no cure, but it is possible to prevent it

Stating that the symptoms of air conditioning shock vary from person to person, but that symptoms and findings such as headache, runny nose, cough and high fever are frequently seen, Prof. Dr. Şafak Sahir Karamehmetoğlu said, “In addition, muscle pain can also be seen. Especially soft tissue rheumatisms such as fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome are frequently encountered.” Drawing attention to the fact that changes in the body in the face of sudden temperature changes can cause complaints such as shivering and cold hands and feet, Karamehmetoğlu said, “Headaches can be caused by the low humidity level caused by the air conditioning environment. Some studies show that poorly maintained air conditioners can also cause headaches. A feeling of weakness and fatigue can occur with the air conditioning shock. The body has to spend extra energy to combat the extreme temperature change, and as a result, weakness and fatigue can occur. Disturbance of fluid and electrolyte balance can also cause weakness. In the case of air conditioning shock, symptoms such as nasal congestion, muscle and joint pain can also occur.”
